POPE’S INTENTIONS 2023
(Pope’s Global Prayer Network):

MARCH – FOR VICTIMS OF ASSAULT

We pray for those who have suffered harm from members of the Church; that in the Church itself they must find a concrete answer to their pain and suffering.

NEW YEAR’S GREETINGS 2023
FROM P. WIESLAW PODLACH

Dear All!

May you receive the most heartfelt and warmest New Year greetings!

The new year will undoubtedly be a special year in our parish life, as we will experience the Holy Mission Days – “Renewal of faith” in the parish, which will take place in the days from and including 12 – 19 March 2023.

It is a big and special event that only takes place in our parish every 10 years.

We will experience being visited by missionaries from the Order of the Redemptorists. They will preach the Word of God, ie. The Good News about God. So that in His presence we can renew and strengthen our Christian life in our parish, in our families and in ourselves.

It will be a time when we will have a unique opportunity, perhaps the last, to experience, feel and live into His Love and become even more anchored in Friendship with God. We get one more chance to find the way back to Him: “Let us not close our hearts, the time of salvation has come, when Christ knocks on our door – perhaps one last time.”

I would ask you to try to organize your duties and chores in such a way that you give yourself the opportunity to participate in the “Renewal of Faith” week.

Consider what you can do so that your whole family, your loved ones and your acquaintances have the opportunity to participate in these spiritually enriching and precious moments. Let it be a time when you allow yourself to engage and immerse yourself personally in your relationship with God.

I would already now ask you to intercede so that these Holy Mission Days may bear fruit for each of you.

We can already now begin to bring our sacrifices, sufferings, worries and personal privations to the Mother of God of the Perpetual Help.

I will place our “Renewal in the Faith” week in the parish in the hands of the Mother of God of the Perpetual Help and pray that the days may be of benefit and blessing to all of us, so that we all come to bear fruit on our way to God.

The warmest New Year greetings

Your parish priest,

Fr. Wieslaw Podlach

BAPTISM CERTIFICATES AND MARRIAGE CERTIFICATES

From 1 January 2023, new rules will come into force, and baptism and marriage certificates issued by the Catholic Church will no longer have civil validity. From now on, only the identity card issued by borger.dk or the local folk church’s registrar applies. If your child is to be baptized, the child must be named before the Catholic baptism, and an identity card must be obtained as stated above. Bring a copy with you when you meet with the priest before the baptism. For weddings, a test certificate must be obtained from borger.dk before the couple can be married by a priest who has authority to perform weddings. Marriage certificates and baptismal certificates can still be issued, but can only be used within the church.
